Rochester Armored Car recently announced the promotion of Paul Stehno to general manager of Nebraska. In this new role, Stehno is responsible for overseeing the operations of Rochester’s four Nebraska branches located in Grand Island, Lincoln, Norfolk, and Omaha. Each location provides a variety of customized services, including armored transportation as well as cash and coin services for a variety of financial institutions and businesses.
Stehno was selected for this position because of his commitment to providing Rochester customers with excellent service. Joseph M. Shea, president and CEO, said that Stehno has demonstrated his commitment to the company’s mission – with honesty and integrity, to profitably provide the safe and secure transportation of valuables while giving professional and extraordinary service to the customer –time and time again.
One example is when Stehno led the effort of updating approximately 250 Rochester-serviced ATMs and handling how those updates impacted Rochester’s internal operations. In the fall of 2017, NETS announced its closing, which meant many Nebraska banks were forced to find new networking systems that were capable of processing their ATM transactions. Stehno and his team reached out to the Rochester customers impacted by this and worked with them to schedule the necessary updates the ATMs required to avoid any service issues. “Projects like this one showcased Stehno’s knowledge and leadership skills,” Shea said. “We are extremely confident in Stehno’s ability to take on this new role.”
Stehno has been with Rochester for nine years. For nearly half of that time, Stehno was the ATM manager for the Omaha branch. Prior to that he was part of the ATM Crew and also helped respond to ATM fault calls. He joined Rochester after serving four years in the United States Marine Corps. During that time, he completed two combat tours, one in Iraq in 2007 and one in Afghanistan in 2008.
